The film “If It Were Not for Ukrainians” was presented in Kyiv for an English-speaking audience. The film tells the story of Ukrainians who changed the history of states and civilization – famous Ukrainians and people associated with Ukraine in the fields of literature, music, cinema, ballet, building rockets, airplanes and helicopters, military and political history, IT, beekeeping and even sumo. All these people influenced the development not only of their fields of activity, but also of the progress of human civilization in general.

There is no doubt about the talents of Ukrainians: they are so determined and active that abroad, our compatriots are often seen as the strongest competitors. A vivid example is director, musician, producer, and screenwriter Oleksandr Makarov. Oleksandr’s creative portfolio includes large-scale television projects ("Big Dances," "Battle of the Psychics," "KUB"), music videos for Ukrainian artists (among his more recent works is the "Major" video for singer Big Boss) and advertising spots for international advertising companies, as well as work on his own comedy series, English Only!
